You probably haven’t heard that name before. That’s by design.
My life’s pretty good (now)…
I bought my dream house that backs onto the 16th hole of a pristine golf course...
I do have decent cars (but I prefer to put my surplus commissions into investments)...
...and I now spend half the year at my lake house with my girls.
And I don't say that to brag, I just want you to understand what's possible with the right sales skills.



I was barely 22 years old and living in Orem, Utah selling alarms in college.
I had no coaches or mentors I could count on, and unfortunately dug into the outdated books on sales that are still using 100 year old methods that just didn't work for me.
I had no control over what I was earning and to be honest... that was the most frustrating part.
... and I kept banging my head against the wall because all my managers were telling me that "this was the way" or "these are the greats"...
But it meant I couldn’t pursue what I knew in my gut was a different approach and made me realize...
There’s a stupid myth out there.. that you need to "Always Be Closing"...
And if you want to really make it in sales... Always Be Closing and pushing your way through an outdated process is never the answer...
I know, because I tried.
I gave it everything I had.
I gave it my BEST shot.
And it didn’t work.
Because I played by the rules and I did everything right...
I ended up Frustrated And Burned Out With Nothing To Show For All My Hard Work And I Hated It…
I hated it because I was doing exactly what I was taught...
I had goals, dreams and aspirations...I wanted more out of life...
...and one day I realized that following conventional sales wisdom in the new economy just wasn't going to work.
So I did what everyone else out there does in this situation.
I started looking for a way out.
I looked everywhere and a few months later I had an A-HA moment I'll never forget.
My sales manager picked me up and popped in a Tony Robbins CD (yes, I'm dating myself a bit here)...
And I might butcher this a bit but Tony said something like this...
"Most people fail, because they don't learn the RIGHT skills necessary to succeed."
And that's when it hit me...
Maybe, just MAYBE...
What I was being taught by my company and the sales gurus were just not working anymore.
The information was outdated...
...irrelevant...
And soul-sucking to use in real calls.
That's when I dusted off my College Degree in Human Behaviour and Psychology, and got to work on testing out what would become my new sales approach in the real world...
With real dollars on the line.
